With Our Thanks

Tis the season to be thankful! I am so excited for Thanksgiving and I was delighted to create this card to get in the mood for the upcoming holidays! I used the stamp set called A Walk In The Woods by Mark's Finest Paper! The sketch was from the sketch challenge on SCS. I also chose to enter the Pink Elephant challenge to use Brown and Orange colors! The papers were from my Fall Stack and I used a mixture of Sunflower, Gold Rush, and Desert Sand inks to sponge the background of my focal image which was stamped in cocoa. The card was finished with a bit if tinted organdy ribbon and a leaf charm from Marks Finest. Thank you for stopping by and I hope you had a restful weekend!

Go Cardinals!

With it being a Sunday afternoon in October, how can I not be rooting on my Arizona Cardinals football team!.. Now this is not a sports card of course but it features a fantastic cardinal image from the stamp set Seasonal Greeting by Mark's Finest Papers. I chose to enter this card into the SCS color challenge. The challenge is to use deep purple, olive green, and deep red colors. The sketch used for this card is for the Cute Card Thursday challenge. I thought this was such a simple and classy sketch! I hope you enjoy the rest of your Sunday! Thanks for stopping by to check out my latest creation!

Autumn is Here

Living in Arizona and surviving the summer heat makes Fall weather seem like a long lost savior! I can honestly say I am Thankful For You Fall! The stamp set I used for this card is entitled just that.. Thankful For You! Though the pumpkins have been in the stores for a while and the decorations are out, the weather here in the desert is FINALLY cooperating and it feels like Fall! I chose to create this Autumn Days card for the Clean and Simple challenge on SCS! Their challenge was to use a sketch inspired by KStamper! Using a couple of other challenges to finish up the card, I chose my colors for the Stampin B's challenge to make a Halloween card using no Orange or Black. I decided to use this buttery yellow card stock, matching ink and satin ribbon. The Drunken Stamper challenge was simply to make a Halloween card so I decided to enter this card into their challenge as well! I hope you are enjoying this beautiful Fall season wherever you might be located! Thanks for stopping by!

Pink Holidays!

It's Time To Chill! After hearing about this fantastic "Hope You Can Cling To" challenge in SCS that is a gallery to shower cancer patients with cards, I had to get involved. The challenge was to create a holiday card using pink as the main color. I used the "Time To Chill" stamp set from Mark's Finest Papers and stamped the polar bear, sentiment, and snow flakes in blush ink on white card stock. I chose to use white flocking on the polar bear to make him really feel fuzzy! The sketch is for the MOJO Monday Challenge and I used a touch of checkerboard ribbon for the Alice In Wonderland Challenge .To complete the challenge I needed to find a way to include chess, chessboard or chessman. This was a fun card to make and hopefully it will make a little girl out there smile!

Seasonal Poinsettia Ornament Fun

Seasonal Poinsettias! I love the images in this stamp set by Mark's Finest Papers! Like most of Marks Finest stamp sets, this one is very versatile and the images stamp so crisp! I decided to do a few challenges with this card. First for the sketch, I used the Card Patterns Weekly Sketch . I also used the Spots and Stripes challenge from AllSorts Challenge . I decided to used the stripey paper from Close To My Heart's Evensong paper packet and polka dot organdy ribbons from Marks Finest. The last challenge I decided to try was the Christmas Stampin All Year Long challenge to use something metallic. For this challenge I used a Christmas tree charm from Mark's Finest and some gold cord from my stash for the ornament accessory.
Thank you for stopping by!

Getting ready for this fast approaching holiday season I felt that this hot cocoa gift bag would fit well with this adorable set by Mark's Finest! The bag was created using card stock and designer papers from my stash by cutting the paper to create a 4x4 box. I added red satin ribbon to create the handles and decorated the bag using papers cut with spellbinders and cuttlebug. I added a little shine using liquid glass and stickles! This simple bag can be used for just about any gift but I chose to fill it with some hot chocolate and marshmallows for a warm winter treat!

I just love this set Thankful For You! I used the pumpkin and stalk image to create this fall scene. To accent the piece I used organdy ribbon, chipboard pieced sponged in Autumn Terracotta and Barn Red ink. My favorite part of this card is the adorable scarecrow charm that adds that extra autumn umph!

In this card, I decided to create a card using the A Walk In The Woods stamp set and wanted to present a natural feel to the piece. I just love the trees in this set. It is so versatile and can be used for just about any season! I used cardstock from Marks Finest and stamped in New England Ivy ink second generation for the tree and first generation for the sentiment. Texture was created by tearing the edges of the cardstock.

Using the Greeting Of The Season stamp set I chose to feature the pine cone image using Cocoa ink and colored in some of the areas with various markers. The card was accented with some hemp that was stitched into the cardstock.

Using the festive set Seasonal Poinsettias I created this traditional red and green card featuring the wreath image! This card was created by stamping the image in olive green ink against colonial white cardstock and was accented with tiny diamonds.I tied a bow with my favorite red satin ribbon from Marks Finest and used designer papers from my stash to complete the card.

I just fell in love with this cutie penguin in the Time To Chill stamp set! Using white, blue and black cardstock to create the base of the card, I accented the overall look by adding organdy ribbon from Marks Finest and created texture with my paper cutter and embossing tool to add lines and then sanded the image to bring out the white core of my cardstock.
