With Our Thanks
Go Cardinals!
Autumn is Here
Living in Arizona and surviving the summer heat makes Fall weather seem like a long lost savior! I can honestly say I am Thankful For You Fall! The stamp set I used for this card is entitled just that.. Thankful For You! Though the pumpkins have been in the stores for a while and the decorations are out, the weather here in the desert is FINALLY cooperating and it feels like Fall! I chose to create this Autumn Days card for the Clean and Simple challenge on SCS! Their challenge was to use a sketch inspired by KStamper! Using a couple of other challenges to finish up the card, I chose my colors for the Stampin B's challenge to make a Halloween card using no Orange or Black. I decided to use this buttery yellow card stock, matching ink and satin ribbon. The Drunken Stamper challenge was simply to make a Halloween card so I decided to enter this card into their challenge as well! I hope you are enjoying this beautiful Fall season wherever you might be located! Thanks for stopping by!
Pink Holidays!
Seasonal Poinsettia Ornament Fun
Seasonal Poinsettias! I love the images in this stamp set by Mark's Finest Papers! Like most of Marks Finest stamp sets, this one is very versatile and the images stamp so crisp! I decided to do a few challenges with this card. First for the sketch, I used the Card Patterns Weekly Sketch . I also used the Spots and Stripes challenge from AllSorts Challenge . I decided to used the stripey paper from Close To My Heart's Evensong paper packet and polka dot organdy ribbons from Marks Finest. The last challenge I decided to try was the Christmas Stampin All Year Long challenge to use something metallic. For this challenge I used a Christmas tree charm from Mark's Finest and some gold cord from my stash for the ornament accessory.
Thank you for stopping by!

Getting ready for this fast approaching holiday season I felt that this hot cocoa gift bag would fit well with this adorable set by Mark's Finest! The bag was created using card stock and designer papers from my stash by cutting the paper to create a 4x4 box. I added red satin ribbon to create the handles and decorated the bag using papers cut with spellbinders and cuttlebug. I added a little shine using liquid glass and stickles! This simple bag can be used for just about any gift but I chose to fill it with some hot chocolate and marshmallows for a warm winter treat!

I just love this set Thankful For You! I used the pumpkin and stalk image to create this fall scene. To accent the piece I used organdy ribbon, chipboard pieced sponged in Autumn Terracotta and Barn Red ink. My favorite part of this card is the adorable scarecrow charm that adds that extra autumn umph!

A Walk in the Woods and Greetings of the Season
And…LOOK for a NEW LINK LIST TOMORROW!!!We have 6 New Stamp Sets Released today: Seasonal Poinsettias, Time to Chill, A Walk in the Woods, Greetings of the Season, Thankful for You, Snowman Country
For your convenience, all 6 stamp sets are available for purchase TODAY!
In this card, I decided to create a card using the A Walk In The Woods stamp set and wanted to present a natural feel to the piece. I just love the trees in this set. It is so versatile and can be used for just about any season! I used cardstock from Marks Finest and stamped in New England Ivy ink second generation for the tree and first generation for the sentiment. Texture was created by tearing the edges of the cardstock.
Using the Greeting Of The Season stamp set I chose to feature the pine cone image using Cocoa ink and colored in some of the areas with various markers. The card was accented with some hemp that was stitched into the cardstock.

Seasonal Poinsettias and Time to Chill
And…LOOK for a NEW LINK LIST TOMORROW!!!We have 6 New Stamp Sets Released today: Seasonal Poinsettias, Time to Chill, A Walk in the Woods, Greetings of the Season, Thankful for You, Snowman Country
For your convenience, all 6 stamp sets are available for purchase TODAY!
Using the festive set Seasonal Poinsettias I created this traditional red and green card featuring the wreath image! This card was created by stamping the image in olive green ink against colonial white cardstock and was accented with tiny diamonds.I tied a bow with my favorite red satin ribbon from Marks Finest and used designer papers from my stash to complete the card.
I just fell in love with this cutie penguin in the Time To Chill stamp set! Using white, blue and black cardstock to create the base of the card, I accented the overall look by adding organdy ribbon from Marks Finest and created texture with my paper cutter and embossing tool to add lines and then sanded the image to bring out the white core of my cardstock.

Finally Back!!
As a part of my full time job, my team was fortunate enough to have our experiment go on board the space shuttle STS-131. So off to Florida I went! Spending a week in Florida was fantastic. I was able to lounge on the beach, visit some gators, and of course witness the amazing shuttle launch! If you have not seen one, I highly recommend trying to attend one of the remaining launches! It is beyond words! After returning back to Arizona, my time was occupied by a brand new puppy!I adopted Gus, a boxer mix and he has kept me quite busy! He such a sweetie and Piccolo the spoiled chihuahua is enjoying having a new friend to play with! The last few months were also filled with parties.. some birthday parties and an ever amusing Girls Night In "Pure Romance" party! Last but not least, my best friend in the whole world delivered her baby! She is the most adorable little girl! Now that my world is slowing back down a little I have gotten back into the craft room and created this Father's Day Card using one of the sets by Mark's Finest Papers!
I just love this set called "Take the Time & Father's Day!" The papers are from CTMH Silhouette and the inks used include CTMH's Black, Desert Sand, Bamboo, and Twilight! I embellished the card with a tiny blue brad and some blue ribbons from the dollar bin at Target! I hope you enjoyed my card and check back soon for my next project!

All Dressed Up!
Happy St. Patrick's Day! I wanted to share a card I created last night. As per usual this card was created to meet a multitude of challenges! Starting with the layout, I chose to enter the Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge which features a fun circle pattern! The rest of the challenges I entered into were from SplitCoast Stampers Challenges The Color Combination challenge was to use Rich Olive and Razzleberries. I chose to use the CTMH Pansy Purple cardstock and ink as well as Olive paper and Bamboo for my neutral. For the Try a New Technique challenge, the quest was to make your own DP. I used a leathering technique by spraying the olive paper slightly with water and then crumpling the paper. Afterwards you uncrumple, iron, and ink the paper in a darker shade to simulate the leather look. Last but not least is one of my favorite challenges, the Teapot Tuesday Challenge! This week we were challenged to use some type of fun shoe in the card! I chose to use the Be Yourself stampset from CTMH featuring a great dressed up lady wearing some awesome high heels! Thanks for stopping by to see my card for many challenges!

Sunflowers!
Happy Tuesday! This week started with a couple of rainy days but today it was back to the blue clear skies we are used to here in Arizona! I decided to celebrate by creating a card using the sunflower stamp from Mark's Finest Papers: Blackberries, Sunflower, and Bees! I decided to enter this card into a bunch of challenges. For the overall layout I used the MOJO Monday sketch challenge. This week was more fun that usual as they gave you a couple of options for the sketch! Second I entered the Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge to use flowers. I finished up this entry by playing a few of the Splitcoast Stamper challenges. I entered the color challenge to use Olympic colors and accent with some kind of metal accent.. bronze, silver, or gold! The Teapot Tuesday challenge was simply challenging us to use color but to keep a white base. Lastly I entered the Try a New Technique challenge titled Its in the Pieces!I hope you enjoy this giant sunflower!

Valentine
As we all know Valentine's Day or Single's awareness... Whichever you prefer is coming up this weekend. I decided to make a bag of goodies for my co-workers this year! I had found some cute pink paper bags from Michaels and filled them with some chocolates! After folding the bag over, I used a clothes pin that I covered with designer paper, organdy ribbon, and a paper flower with adhesive pearl to clip onto the bag. I got this idea from Inking Idaho's fantastic website! I added a postage tag that I made using the Cuttlebug die cut and embossing folder and finished up the bag with a chocolate colored cutout from the silhouette machine in a heart design. This project was entered into the AiFactory challenge to use lots of hearts! I also entered the CCEE Stampers Inspiration challenge. The inpiration was all kinds of Lovey themed posters so my project fit well. Last but certainly not least, I entered this project into the Sassy designs By Susie . This challege was to use flowers and hearts! I hope you enjoy my project! Have a very happy Valentine's Day!

Rainy Day Challenges!
This card is my take on 4 different challenges! I chose to do the SCS sketch challenge, color challenge of Bashful Blue Suede Rubies, and one of my favorite challenges the Teapot Tuesday Challenge! The last challenge I have entered this card into is for the Simon Says Stamp Challenge to use a punch. I chose to use my corner punch, Cropadile hole punch and Nestibilities Die Cuts. The stamp I used was from Clear Artistic Stamps called Flight of My Dreams featuring butterflies, hummingbirds and my stamp of choice for this card, the pretty flowers and sentiment. I figure it was a fitting sentiment as the rain has been coming down hard the past few days. I have to admit that living here in AZ, I don't really want the rain to go away though:)To wrap up the card with embellishments, I used some cranberry colored ribbon and thread it throughout the chocolate paper and added some ruby sparkles to the stamped image!
Thank for stopping by and taking a look at my card!

Good Day!
Hello!I hope everyone out there is having a great day and Happy Martin Luther King Day! Today I decided to enter three challenges. The first is MOJO Monday! I used their sketch to be my layout for this card. The other two challenges were for Splitcoast Stampers Clean and Simple as well as the Technique challenge! For Clean and Simple, their assignment was to use the color teal. I chose this CTMH paper that I accented with black and white papers. The large teal piece was embossed using a cuttlebug folder and then layered with the rest of the accenting pieces. On a separate sheet of teal paper, I stamped the image which is from the Whispers of Dreams, Serenity Collection sold by Mark's Finest Papers! The image was embossed with black powder and then cut out in a Brick Wall fashion for the technique challenge. I accented with some white organdy ribbon, adhesive sparkles, and my favorite punched out butterfly! Thanks for stopping by!

Sunday Morning Martini
Well I didn't exactly drink a martini this morning but I did have a blast creating this smooth drink birthday card! The fantastic martini stamp from Art Impressions was stamped and embossed using black embossing powder. The olive was colored in using a green gel pen and stickles to give some sparkle fun to this card. To finish off the image, I filled it in with liquid glass. The matting was chosen for the the Spectacular Sunday Challenge which brought the challenge of using black, white, and silver coloring! This card was also entered into the Splitcoast Stampers Featured Stamper Challenge . This week's featured stamper is JDmommy and her gorgeous gallery included the card that I chose as my inspiration for the sketch this week and martini image! Make sure to check out these great challenges! Thank you for stopping by to see my Sunday card! Cheers!

Simon Says!
Simon says try out for our design team! This entry is for the Simon Says design call and is also being entered into their Shabby Chic challenge! The challenge is to make your card have elements of wear and tear. I decided to use one of my favorite Sarah Kay stamps! I just adore these stamps. They are sooo cute! To give this the shabby chic look, I used PrismaColor pencils to color the image to look worn. I also decided to enter this card into the color challenge on Splitcoast Stampers. The color challenge was Pretty Chocolate Razzleberries! Doesn't that sound just yummy? I used Pretty pink with hints of Chocolate and a Purple Razzleberry color! After assembling my card I chose to embellish with a chipboard ribbon slider that I sponged with Sunflower and Autumn Terracotta ink. I wrapped some organdy ribbon that I inked with Pansy Purple ink and assembled with a piece of hemp and a cute green mini safety pin! I hope you enjoyed my post and make sure to check out the challenges from Simon says and Splitcoast!

Ellie Anne "The Worm"
One of my favorite challenges to join is the Teapot Tuesday challenge in SplitCoast Stampers! This week the teapot inspiration story was titled "Where's the Bad Apple That Put Annie On Her Fannie!" The teapot had a picture of an apple tree with a ladder propped up against it. A part of the cute story behind the teapot talked about a little worm and I just could not wait to use my little earth worm stamp! The layout that I used this week is from the Mojo Monday challenge! I really enjoyed using the sketch and the lightbulb moment that prompted me to turn the sketch 90 degrees made the sketch work perfectly!
I hope you enjoyed my card. Make sure to stop by Mojo Monday and The Teapot Tuesday Challenge for some fun this week!

Sunday Fun!
Happy Sunday! I woke up this morning ready and excited to get started on some awesome challenges. I have pushed myself again to combine 4 different challenges into one card. The first challenge I entered was the SplitCoast Stampers Featured Stamper Challenge FS153. After looking at the gorgeous gallery by today's featured stamper WeeBeeStampin on SCS, I chose This Card to use as my inspiration. The card I created had to be different from the featured stampers' in 2 or more ways. The way my card was made differently was mostly from the color palette. I used my favorite paper packet called Sonata from Close To My Heart. It has a musical theme which is always something that draws my attention immediately. I love it! Next I changed up her layout just a tad. Her layout was extremely similar to the second challenge I entered CPS or Card Positioning Systems so I just adjusted some of the items to fit. The sentiment used in this card was slightly different than WeeBeeStampin's inspiration. I kept a reference to music as she did however I used a stamp that I own from CTMH called "The Music of Life" The last couple challenges I entered were from Corrosive and Stampin Sisters in Christ. These are brand new blog challenges for me so I had a blast checking out their sites. The Corrosive Challenge #46 wants distressing to be used. I distressed all of the edges on m card very lightly with scissors. I usually like to ink the edges of my projects as well but decided to keep this project looking light. The Stampin Sisters in Christ Challenge was to use this scripture: Hosea 6:1 "Come, let us return to the Lord. He has torn us to pieces but he will heal us; he has injured us but he will bind up our wounds." The challenge is to make your project look as though it was broken and put back together again. Last but not least I added some pretty embellishments of Cocoa Grosgrain ribbon, Hollyhock Ricrac ribbon, spiral clip a love charm!
Thanks for stopping by and make sure to check out some of these great challenges!

New Year, New Blog
For my first card of the New Year, I have decided to join in on a bunch of challenges. The layout of this card is from the Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge. I enjoyed creating this layout using many of the tools I never seem to get out often. The theme of this card was inspired by the Teapot Tuesday Challenge on Split Coast Stampers. This was an amusing assignment to use the theme of a girl who had been done wrong and is now looking for true love. Who hasn't been there? The last two challenges that I have entered this card into are the Cute Card Thursday Challenge to use something new and the Simon Says Challenge to use the theme Hot Chocolate or Pink and Brown colors. I chose the latter using the pink and brown color palette using one of my favorite paper packets: More to Adore from Close To My Heart. My "something new" for the Cute Card Thursday Challenge was my brand new Spellbinders Nestabilities "Labels One". I received these as a Christmas gift from my amazing mom (nannys-room.blogspot.com)Thank you Mom! Lastly I pulled together this card with one of my favorite accessories PEARLS!
Thank you for stopping by and checking out my first card of the new year!
